Today, Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) introduced a resolution urging the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to use its powers under the All Writs Act to assert its authority in The People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump. According to Timmons, multiple clear and reversible errors in this case, compounded with its unprecedented nature and overwhelming public interest, have left Americans with more questions than answers.

With the Presidential election less than five months away—and President Trump’s appeal still pending—Rep. Timmons’ resolution outlines what he describes as politically-motivated bias in this case and calls for intervention by SCOTUS.

“This case against President Donald Trump is nothing more than political lawfare,” said Rep. William Timmons (SC-04). “There are multiple layers of reversible errors in Alvin Bragg’s case against President Trump that demand SCOTUS intervention. The American people see right through it. I introduced this resolution today because the unprecedented nature of this case and its proximity to the Presidential election are of the utmost concern, and we simply have too much at stake this November.”

The full text of the resolution can be found HERE.
